April Hours: 4 Cumulative hours: 25 For April, I volunteered for Heroes of New Orleans again, where we went through different avenues of careers and next steps post-graduation for those who are juniors and seniors. Along with this, we went to New Orleans Center for Creative Arts where Mr. Marcus, one of the teachers, and some students walked us and the kids through the process of pouring bronze. They also learned about other art forms, such as using wire to make 2D art, cast molding, and making wax figures. There are a couple students participating in Heroes currently that have expressed interest in fine arts, so this was a really nice activity for those students. Some of us in the Pharmacology program also helped make hygiene packs with items such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, feminine products, and socks for those in a women's shelter.
